If I had a million dollars

 My entry for the second challenge of Rounds of Magic: Write a list of at least 5 things a character would do with a mega-million (billion) dollar windfall.

These are all going to be characters from the Baldur's Gate fandom, including my Bhaalspawn, the human mage Cat. What would they do with a million gold pieces?

Cat

1. Buy a ship and hire a well-paid crew to travel to Spellhold, save Imoen, and kill Irenicus in the most painful way possible.
2. Get a shit-ton of rare artifacts to repair her planar sphere so she can travel to the Hell Ur-Gothoz dwells in and Dorn can kill him and be finally free.
3. Purchase a lot of spell scrolls and magic books.
4. Acquire enough black lotus to last her a lifetime and deal with for more profit.
5. Make more repairs and renovations on the Copper Coronet to enhance the comfort of the visitors and residents (especially the cats!)

Alora

1. Buy a nice house in the northern Baldur's Gate district, painted in bright happy colors that her neighbors will surely find atrocious, with a big garden to grow pretty flowers.
2. Get some nice new sets of lockpicks because this tiny klepto ain't about to quit.
3. Buy a lot of pretty, shiny decor (everything will probably clash, but she just wants pretty things).
4. Eat all of her meals in the Three Old Kegs so she doesn't have to cook and can mingle with rich people to steal from.
5. Find herself a lot of pretty, tailor-made dresses to wear at social events (with lots of secret pockets, you can guess what for).

Baeloth Barrityl

1. Purchase a big enough plot in a country with shady laws regarding slavery (like Thay) to relaunch his Black Pits.
2. Buy an artifact (probably a lamp) to imprison a djinn in because he clearly didn't learn his lesson the last time.
3. Get A LOT of gladiators, the best of the best, whether hired or enslaved.
4. Hire monster hunters to trap and transport some strong monsters for the gladiators to fight in the Pits.
5. Buy the best hair conditioner and shampoo in Faerûn to last him a lifetime; he's a diva after all.
